Public Library (1864)Standing at Chandra Shekhar Azad Park (Alfred park) The memorial has a lofty tower and arcaded cloister. In 1879, the library was shifted to the present premises at Alfred Park. It has about 75,000 books, besides a treasure trove of manuscripts and journals.
